The Beatles consisted of four boys; John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. As the members of the Beatles matured they spread their music and appearances throughout the nation. Even though they all grew up they still are significantly remembered and their music is still memorized people in all countries. They left a huge impact in the music industry and they continue to prosper. The Beatles held the first five slots on the Billboard Singles chart and went on to sell more than a billion records (Rolling Stone 1).
When put on their first national tour, the hysterical outbreaks of Beatlemania had begun. After that they were constantly mobbed by screaming fans and required police protection every time they went out in public (Rolling Stone 1). When Beatles first arrived in America, it was similar to when One Direction arrived in America. They were welcomed by swarms of fans who had already memorized their songs and already knew who they were. They are very talented and all play instruments to create the beautiful melodies and instrumentals that is in all of their songs. |
One Direction is a band created through the show, The X Factor, and with Simon Cowell's help, these boys were put together and finished in third place on the show. The five boys, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, didn't know eachother before the show and didn't let losing end their singing career as a band. Their fame grew throughout the United Kingdom and eventually throughout the nation. who are all singers and don't play instruments.
The band's first hit song in the United States was, "What Makes You Beautiful" and the song caught other country's attentions just around the same time. One Direction was nominated for thirteen billboard music awards for their popular singles and won four of them, and also won three Brit Awards (Billboard 1). They have also won many other awards throughout the past years for their music videos and PEople's Choice. Their fame is only growing and their nation-wide tours are no where close to ending. |
